Stun grenade exploded, war remnants removed in Syria’s Raqqa
RAQQA, Syria (North Press) – Residents of the southern neighborhoods of the city of Raqqa, northern Syria, heard the sound of an explosion at midnight, which the Internal Security Forces (Asayish) said was a stun grenade.
An eyewitness in the city told North Press that the explosion took place on the edge of the Corniche road south Raqqa.
The Asayish added that its forces had removed a missile from the remnants of war from Saif al-Dawla neighborhood in the city.
On Thursday morning, the official website of the Asayish said, its engineering units were able to remove an old missile from the remnants of ISIS militants in the Saif al-Dawla neighborhood, and it contained high explosive items from C-4.
In mid-April, six people, including two children, were injured in the explosion of a mine in a landfill in the village of Sahl al-Banat, northeast of the city of Raqqa.
