AFRIN, Syria (North Press) – On Wednesday, an IED exploded in the city of Afrin in the northern countryside of Aleppo, northwest Syria, wounding two people.
The explosion took place on Rajo Road in the city of Afrin due to an IED place inside a car, a special source told North Press.
Two people were wounded due to the explosion, one of them is in critical situation, the source added.
On May 19, a bomb exploded near Newroz Roundabout in Afrin, wounding a child.
On April 24, unidentified individuals threw a grenade near Newroz Roundabout in Afrin, which wounded a child girl.
The city of Afrin and its environs northwest Syria, have been occupied by Turkey and its affiliated armed opposition groups since March 2018.
Areas of Syria held by Turkish-backed armed groups are witnessing arbitrary detentions and assassinations, accompanied by successive explosions amid the armed groups’ inability to control security and stabilize the area.
