Financial dispute leads to casualties in Syria’s Deir ez-Zor

DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) On Tuesday, a civilian was killed and another wounded in a fighting over the price of a motorcycle in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, east Syria. 

A local source from the town of Hajin, east of Deir ez-Zor, told North Press that a young man was killed and his brother was wounded as a result of a dispute with other youths over the price of a motorcycle. 

The injured person was transferred to al-Kaysoum Hospital in Hajin, without reports about his condition. 

The town has been witnessing tension amid residents’ calling on the notables and the officials of the Civil Administration to intervene to resolve the dispute. 

Earlier on Tuesday, two civilians lost their lives in a clan fighting in the village of Sabiha, north of Deir ez-Zor.

An old revenge between two families that was renewed this morning was the cause of the fighting, according to local sources.
