One killed in explosion, SDF makes arrest in Syria’s Deir ez-Zor
DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – On Thursday, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) arrested a person accused of detonating an explosive device in the town of Shuhail, east of Deir ez-Zor, east Syria, which killed one person.
A military source told North Press that the SDF arrested the suspected perpetrator minutes after the incident.
A person was also injured by the explosion that took place near one of the military points while he was passing by, he added.
The eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor has been witnessing assassinations and bombings targeting members of the SDF, civil administration employees, notables, and residents of the region.
In the same town, an explosive device exploded on the Irrigation Road near one of the military checkpoints, but no injuries were reported.
The Syrian Democratic Forces arrested 14 ISIS members on Thursday at dawn in the town of Shuhail.
