Turkish military vehicle kills girl in Syria’s Idlib

IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – On Monday, a six-year-old girl died of her wounds after being run over by a Turkish military vehicle in the southern countryside of Idlib, northwest Syria.

Local sources from the area told North Press that a Turkish military vehicle ran over Sima Mustafa Nabhan while she was near the town of Neirab, southeast of Idlib.

The sources added that the child died of her severe injuries, and that the accident was a mistake.

In the middle of last March, a man from the western countryside of Hama died as a result of being run over by a Turkish armored vehicle near the village of Kafr Lossin, north of Idlib.

At the time, local sources told North Press that the Turkish armored vehicle did not stop to transfer the victims to hospitals, and continued its way towards Bab al-Hawa border crossing with Turkey.

The two incidents caused a state of discontent and anger by social networking users, as some considered it a “deliberate accident”, while others described it as an “immoral thing.”
