QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – On Monday, the Health Board of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) announced the recording of 60 new coronavirus infections and seven deaths in northeast Syria.
AANES’ Facebook page quoted Jiwan Mustafa, co-chair of the AANES Health Board, who stated that the deaths were a man from Qamishli, a man from Derik, a man and two women from Manbij, a woman from Hawl Camp.
The recorded infections were as follows: 25 in Raqqa, 16 in Hasakah, 10 in Qamishli, four in each Deir ez-Zor and Derik, and one case in Derbasiya.
Meanwhile, the AANES Health Board recorded seven new recoveries.
The number of coronavirus infections in the regions of northeast Syria has risen to 16,691, including 677 deaths and 1,718 recoveries.
