Asayish Special Units arrest ISIS suspect in Syria’s Deir ez-Zor
DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – On Friday, the Special Units of the Internal Security Forces (Asayish) arrested a person accused of belonging to the Islamic State (ISIS) in the town of Shuhail, east of Deir ez-Zor, with air support from the Global Coalition.
A military source told North Press that the special forces carried out a successful operation in Shuhail, which resulted in the arrest of an ISIS member responsible for attacks inside the town of Shuhail.
Two days ago, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) arrested members affiliated with ISIS in Qamishli and Deir ez-Zor, in north and eastern Syria.
