IED explodes in Syria’s Afrin
AZAZ, Syria (North Press) – On Tuesday, an IED exploded inside a vehicle in the city center of Afrin, north of Syria’s Aleppo, with no casualties reported.
The explosion occurred in al-Mahmoudia neighborhood near Osama Ben Zayd Mosque in the city center of Afrin, an exclusive source told North Press.
The source added, “Loses were only material.”
On March 17, two civilians were wounded in an IED blast in al-Mahmoudia neighborhood, which also inflicted material damage.
Areas of Syria held by Turkish-backed armed groups are witnessing arbitrary detentions and assassinations, accompanied by successive explosions amid the armed groups’ inability to control security and stabilize the area.
