Turkey targets Syria’s northern Aleppo countryside
AZAZ, Syria (North Press) – On Monday, Turkish forces stationed in the scientific research center on the Azaz – Yahmoul Road in the northern countryside of Aleppo targeted Maraanaz village with artillery shells.
A special source told North Press that Turkish artillery targeted residential neighborhoods in the village of Maraanaz, north of Aleppo, with 10 artillery shells.
“No information was reported concerning the extent of the damage caused by the shelling,” the source added.
Turkish forces continue to target towns and villages of the northern countryside of Aleppo, leaving casualties and causing material damage in the region.
Thousands of IDPs form the city of Afrin and its surroundings reside in the town of Tel Rifaat, and in the villages and camps in the northern countryside of Aleppo after the Turkish invasion of the city in March, 2018.
