Future Syria Party opens office in Syria’s Hajin
DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – On Wednesday, the Future Syria Party opened an office under the title Eastern District Headquarters in the city of Hajin in the Deir ez-Zor countryside, east Syria, with the attendance of representatives of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) and tribal figures and sheikhs in the area.
The Future Syria Party is seeking to increase its activities in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor since the eruption of the Syrian war; in the past, the Ba’ath Party was the only party controlling tribal areas.
The establishment of the new office aims to fulfil the hopes of residents of the east Deir ez-Zor countryside, Future Syria Party council head Muhammad al-Rajab told North Press.
He added, “Future Syria Party’s goal is to found a political umbrella in Deir ez-Zor, which has not been included in the political process in Syria for 40 years, since the Ba’ath Party ruled Syria.”
The Future Syria Party was established in March 2018 in the city of Raqqa, and Ibrahim al-Qaftan was elected as president for the party.
People are paying the price for foreign agendas, which have been thrust on Deir ez-Zor since the beginning of the Syrian war and after years of armed groups and Islamic State (ISIS) ruling the area and spreading security chaos in Deir ez-Zor, according to al-Rajab.
