Unknown individuals target Turkish vehicle in Syria’s south Idlib
IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – On Tuesday, unknown attackers bombed a Turkish military vehicle in the south Idlib countryside, northwest Syria, with an IED.
Unknown attackers planted the IED, which exploded with a Turkish military vehicle, on the side of a route near the Turkish base in the town of al-Mastumah.
The explosion damaged the vehicle, leaving no human casualties.
Following the accident, Turkish troops intensely deployed in the area and on the Aleppo-Latakia M4 Highway.
On Tuesday, the Ansar Abu Bakr al-Siddiq Brigade claimed responsibility for targeting a Turkish fuel truck near the city of Idlib with an IED, killing all people inside it.
On February 3, the Turkish Ministry of Defense announced the death of a sergeant in the Turkish army as the result of a previous injury he sustained in an attack carried out by unidentified gunmen on a Turkish post in the western countryside of Idlib.
