Russian troops conduct military patrol in Syria’s Derik countryside
DERIK, Syria (North Press) – On Monday, Russian military police conducted a military patrol in the countryside of Derik, northeast Syria.
The patrol, which consisted of three armored vehicles with no air cover, arrived to the village of Ain Dewar, north of Derik.
“Before returning to its bases in the city of Qamishli, the patrol headed towards the Roman Bridge near the Syrian-Turkish border,” local sources told North Press.
Earlier on Monday, American troops conducted a patrol in the southern countryside of Derik, where oil wells are distributed.
Last Monday, Russian troops conducted a military patrol in the north and west Derik countryside.
