IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – On Monday, Syrian armed opposition groups killed a Syrian government soldier in the southern countryside of Idlib.
“The sniping group that affiliated with Fateh al-Mubin Operations Room killed a government soldier in Ma’arat Mokhes, south Idlib,” a field source told North Press.
On Sunday, Syrian government forces intensified their aerial and artillery shelling on the opposition’s posts northwest Syria.
“A child and a man were killed during Russian vacuum and concussion missile strikes on Bab al-Hawa route and Bsanqul forest on the M4 Highway,” field sources told North Press.
“The shelling set fire to cargo trucks [transporting materials to and from] Turkey and killed several sheep on the Bab al-Hawa route,” the sources added.
Meanwhile, government forces shelled the opposition’s fortifications in the cities and towns of Ariha, Kafr Shalaya, and al-Rami south Idlib countryside.
On Sunday, the opposition groups bombed government posts in several areas in both the east and south Idlib countryside.
“Fateh al-Mubin Operations’ Room bombed government sites in the towns of Saraqeb, Mara’rat al-Nu’man, Ma’ar Shoreen, and Khan Assubul, south Idlib, with artillery shells and Grad rockets,” a military source told North Press.
“The opposition groups [responded] immediately from inside Saraqeb, killing two government soldiers and wounding more than five,” the source added.
