Turkish shelling on Syria’s northwest Tel Rifaat

AZAZ, Syria (North Press) – On Sunday, the Turkish artillery stationing in Azaz-Yahmoul road, shelled the town of Tel Rifaat and Mennegh military airport in the northern countryside of Aleppo.   

“The Turkish forces targeted the outskirts of Tel Rifaat and Mennegh military airport with missiles and artillery shells,” a local source told North Press.  

“The shelling affected the inhabited neighborhoods in Tel Rifaat, without reports on damage,” the source added.

On Saturday, the Turkish forces shelled Tel Rifaat, without casualties reported.

The Turkish forces continue to target the towns and villages of the northern countryside of Aleppo, leaving casualties and material damage.

It is worth mentioning that thousands of displaced families from Afrin are living in Aleppo northern countryside following the Turkish invasion of the region of Afrin in 2018.
