Government forces bomb opposition sites in Syria’s Idlib countryside

IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – On Sunday, the Syrian government forces renewed shelling fortifications and sites of the opposition groups in the de-escalation zone, northwestern Syria.

“The government forces targeted gatherings of the opposition groups in the towns of al-Ruweiha and Sarjah, south Idlib, with missiles and artillery shells,” a military source told North Press.

“The shelling affected the fortifications of the opposition in the town of al-Bara, in Zawiya Mountain, south of Idlib,” the source added.

The shelling coincided with intense overflight of drones and warplanes, without reports on losses, according to the source.
