Government forces continue bombing opposition’s sites in Syria’s Idlib and Hama

IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – On Friday, the Syrian government forces renewed bombing sites of the opposition groups northwest Syria.

“The government forces targeted gatherings of the opposition groups in the towns of al-Ankawi and Qleidin in Ghab Plain, Hama western countryside, with artillery and missiles,” a military source told North Press.

“The bombardment affected sites of the opposition groups in the town of al-Bara in Zawiya Mountain, south Idlib,” the source added.

The bombardment coincided with an intense overflight of aircrafts and drones, without casualties reported, according to the source.

The military escalation comes despite the ceasefire agreement signed on March 5, 2020, after a Russian-Turkish summit, which came after a military escalation in Idlib countryside.
