Infiltration attempt in Syria’s Raqqa, casualties among armed groups

RAQQA, Syria (North Press) – On Wednesday, two members of the Turkish-backed armed opposition groups were killed in the village of Sayda in the countryside of Ain Issa town, north of Raqqa.

“Members of the armed groups tried to infiltrate into the village of Sayda on Wednesday, in the countryside of Ain Issa,” a military source said.

“Our forces thwarted the infiltration attempt and managed to kill two members and damage a vehicle of the groups,” the source added.

Ain Issa has been under constant bombardment by the Turkish forces and the Turkish-backed armed opposition groups from time to time, causing casualties among the civilians in the town.
