Casualties among government forces due to ambush in Syria’s Daraa
SUWAYDA, Syria (North press) – On Tuesday, a bus belonging to the Fourth Division of the Syrian government forces was ambushed in Daraa, south Syria, killing and injuring a number of the government forces.
“The bus, which was carrying members of the government forces, was attacked after an IED exploded in front of it,” a field source told North Press.
“The attack resulted in the killing of 21 soldiers and the injury of five others, including three officers, all of them belonged to the Fourth Division,” the source added.
The source pointed out that the attack took place by an unidentified local armed group, with light and medium weapons, which ambushed on al-Yadouda-al-Muzairib road, in the western countryside of Daraa.
While no casualties reported among the armed group which fled to the orchards north of the town of al-Muzairib, according to the same source.
