IDLIB, Syria (north press) – On Monday, the Syrian government forces targeted a vehicle of the opposition groups in the western countryside of Idlib, northwest Syria, wounding many of them.
“The Syrian government forces targeted a vehicle of the armed groups near the village of al-Najiya, west of Idlib, with a guided missile,” military sources told North Press.
“The targeting resulted in the injury of four members of the National Front for Liberation,” the sources added.
Field sources told North Press that the government forces continued their shelling on the villages and towns of Zawiya Mountain, south of Idlib.
The sources pointed out that artillery and missile strikes targeted opposition sites in the town of al-Fateira and the outskirts of the village of Sufuhn.
The military escalation comes despite the ceasefire agreement signed on March 5, 2020, after a Russian-Turkish summit, which came after a military escalation in Idlib countryside.
