Russian-Turkish joint patrol in Syria’s west Kobani
KOBANI, Syria (North Press) – On Monday, the Russian Military Police conducted a joint patrol with Turkey in the western countryside of Kobani, northeast Syria.
This is the 47th joint patrol conducted in the region.
The patrol set out from Ashma village, 20 kilometers west of Kobani, and it included eight Russian-Turkish military vehicles in addition to two Russian helicopters.
It roamed the villages of Jarqli Fawqani, Bayadiya, Jebna, Zor Mahgawir, Qaran, Dikmdash, Khorkhori, Boban, and Siftik to reach an Internal Security Forces (Ashayish)’s checkpoint near a radio tower, west of Kobani.
After that, Turkish military vehicles returned to Turkey through the gate near the village, while the Russian military vehicles returned to their position near the radio tower.
On March 8, the Russian Military Police conducted the 46th joint patrol with Turkey in the west countryside of Kobani.
