No coronavirus infections recorded in northwest Syria
IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – On Saturday, the Interim Government of the opposition groups announced that it had not recorded any new coronavirus infections in northwest Syria for the second consecutive day.
The number of coronavirus infections has declined in northwest Syria, according to numbers released by the Interim Government since mid-January.
On its official account, the Interim Government said it did not record any new infections of coronavirus on Saturday, while it recorded new recovery cases.
It pointed out that it conducted tests for 126 suspected coronavirus infections, while it has not announced any new deaths.
The Interim Government announced on Friday that it had not recorded any new infections with coronavirus in northwest Syria for the first time since September last year.
With the newly announced cases, the total number of infections in the Syrian opposition-held areas has risen to 21,208, including 631 deaths and 18,945 recoveries.
