Heater explosion leaves four students burnt in Syria’s Derik
DERIK, Syria (North Press) – On Thursday, four students were burnt in a heater explosion in a school in the western countryside of Derik, northeast Syria.
“Four students had third-degree burns due to the heater explosion in a village in west Derik,” a medical source in a hospital in Derik told North Press.
The burnt students are all fifth year students, according to the medical source.
The injured were transferred to al-Salam hospital in the city of Girke Lege, to be transferred later to a hospital in Derik for treatment, and later needed to be transferred to hospitals in Qamishli for completion of treatment, according to the source.
