ISIS leaders killed north Baghdad, Iraqi forces announce

ERBIL, Iraq (North Press) – On Saturday, the Iraqi forces announced the killing of leaders and members of Islamic State (ISIS) during a security operation north Baghdad.

“Our forces ambushed the terrorists in al-Tarimiyah region, north Baghdad,” Yahya Rasoul, spokesperson of the Iraqi armed forces commander-in-chief said.

“Among those killed were the ISIS military and security leader of north Baghdad and the media leader in Fallujah,” Rasoul added.

He described the operation against the ISIS remnants as “painful.”

For his part, Ahmad Salim, leader of Baghdad Operations said, “the terrorists planned to carry out terrorist operations and suicide bombings in Baghdad.”
