Civilian injured in car bomb in Syria’s Afrin

AFRIN, Syria (North Press) – A civilian was wounded in a car bomb explosion on Sunday in Jinderis district in Afrin’s countryside, north of Aleppo.

The Syrian opposition-held region is witnessing kidnappings and arrests, accompanied by consecutive bombings.

The explosion occurred at the northern entrance to Jinderis, which led to the injury of a young IDP from Damascus’ countryside as an initial toll of the explosion, a local source told North Press.

The explosion caused great material damage to the location, according to the source.

Jinderis has been under the control of Turkish-backed opposition groups since March 2018.

At the end of January, four people were killed and 11 were injured in a car bomb explosion in al-Sinaa neighborhood in Afrin.

On December 25 last year, a young man was killed and a child was wounded when a hand grenade in the young man’s possession exploded in Jinderis market.
