Opposition groups bombing government forces’ sites northwest Syria
IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – The Syrian armed opposition groups bombed sites of the Syrian government forces in Zawiya Mountain area in the southern countryside of Idlib, northwestern Syria, on Thursday.
“Al-Fateh al-Mubin Operations Room targeted military gatherings of the government forces in the town of Khan al-Sebl in Zawiya Mountain, south of Idlib, with artillery shells and Grad rockets,” a field source told North Press.
“The bombing resulted in direct casualties among the government forces, amid intense warplanes overflight in the area,” the source added.
The bombing comes in response to the government forces’ continued targeting of the opposition groups’ sites in the area, according to the source.
Also, the opposition groups announced the killing of two government forces’ members on the frontlines in the southern countryside of Idlib and northern countryside in Latakia.
A military source told North Press that the sniping squadron of the opposition groups managed to kill two members of the government forces in the region of Kafr Nabl in Idlib and the village of Tufahiya in Latakia.
Recently, the pace of mutual targeting between Syrian government forces and opposition groups within the de-escalation zone, northwest Syria, has increased.
