RAQQA, Syria (North Press) – The Health Board of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) announced the recording of 7 new coronavirus infections and two deaths in its areas on Thursday.
The official AANES Facebook account quotes Health Board co-chair Jiwan Mustafa, who stated that the new recorded infections were six men and a women.
The recorded infections were three in Deir ez-Zor, two in Qamishli, one in Raqqa and one in Aleppo northern countryside where those fled the Turkish invasion on Afrin in 2018 reside in.
The Health Board also reported one coronavirus recovery and two deaths.
According to the new statistics on new cases of coronavirus in the Autonomous Administration regions, the number of infections has risen to 8,560, including 298 deaths and 1,225 recoveries.
In an exclusive statement to North Press, the Health Board co-chair, Dr. Jiwan Mustafa said, the number of injuries decreased from 43% to almost 10 % in the worst cases.
Earlier in February, the AANES decided to cancel all decisions issued by it regarding the total and partial lockdown due to coronavirus.
