AANES media delegation meets journalists in Kurdistan Region’s Sulaymaniyah

SULAYMANIYAH, Iraq (North Press) – On Saturday, the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria’s (AANES) media delegation held an introductory session on the media situation in Rojava and northeastern Syria at the Bakrjo Public Library in Sulaymaniyah in the presence of journalists.

Amer Murad, the co-chair of the AANES Media Office, said in a statement to North Press that the session was “positive.”

He said, “The attendance was acceptable and we tried to present a picture of the situation of our media and the difficulties that media work faces in the region.”

Murad added, “We are working to galvanize cooperation between the media of the Autonomous Administration and the media of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq (KRG).

An official delegation from the media of the Autonomous Administration has been in the KRG since last Thursday, and held meetings in Erbil and went to Sulaymaniyah to meet media and civil figures there.
