HASAKAH, Syria (North Press) – On Friday, the Internal Security Forces (Asayish) found the body of an Iraqi refugee murdered by unknown persons in Hawl Camp, east of Syria’s Hasakah.
30-year-old Iraqi refugee Farouk Khalaf Hardan was killed by gunshots to the head fired by unknown persons, a security source from the camp told North Press.
January was a record month for northeast Syria’s infamous Hawl Camp, east of Hasakah, as it recorded its highest monthly death toll in the camp’s history. 20 murders were recorded, among the victims Iraqi refugees, displaced Syrians, and a member of Asayish.
The source added that their forces found the body after they received a report from the first section of the camp, and have begun investigations to find out who was behind the killing.
Asayish found the body of a displaced Syrian woman, killed by unknown persons, in Hawl Camp last Friday evening.
