Civilian wounded in IED explosion in Syria’s Turkish-occupied Sere Kaniye
SERE KANIYE, Syria (North Press) – A civilian was wounded due to an improvised explosive device (IED) explosion in a clothing shop in the Turkish-controlled city of Sere Kaniye (Ras al-Ain), northeastern Syria, on Wednesday.
A local source told North Press that another IED exploded 10 meters away from the first explosion near a mosque in the city, without casualties reported.
On January 6, an IED exploded in the Noufous Street in the city of Sere Kaniye which resulted in material damage only.
On January 2, four people, including children, were killed, and others were wounded in an explosion of a VBIED in the center of the city of Sere Kaniye.
The Syrian opposition-controlled areas witness a state of security chaos, accompanied by frequent bombings, kidnappings of civilians, and internal fighting, according to media and human rights reports.
