Drones target crossing in Syria’s north Manbij

MANBIJ, Syria (North Press) – An unidentified drone targeted, on Saturday evening, fuel tankers in front of al-Hamran crossing, northwest of the city of Manbij, northern Syria.

The drone targeted the crossing of the Turkish-backed Syrian National Army (SNA) with missiles, causing material damage to the place, a local source told North Press.

The al-Hamran crossing is a link between the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria areas and the SNA-held areas.

The region of transporting fuel within the areas under the control of the Turkish-backed opposition groups has been repeatedly targeted, as last week, drones targeted the areas of Tarhin, al-Hamran and Umm Jloud, without being claimed by any party.

On December 20, 2020, unidentified drones targeted the Tarhin area north of the city of Bab in the eastern countryside of Aleppo, where oil burners are deployed, and causing significant material damage in the area.

The explosion of an oil tanker in the Tarhin camp on July 16, 2020 injured a number of civilians north of Bab.

In the same context, the Turkish forces bombed the sites of the Manbij Military Council in Umm Jloud and Umm Adasah, northwest Manbij, without casualties reported, according to an informed source.
