Five deaths and 190 new infections with coronavirus in Syria’s Autonomous Administration areas

RAQQA, Syria (North Press) – The Health Board of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) announced, on Saturday, that five deaths and 190 new cases of coronavirus were recorded in its areas.

AANES official Facebook quoted Jiwan Mustafa, co-chair of the AANES Health Board, that two deaths were recorded in Derik, one in Hasakah, one in Derbasiyah, and one the northern countryside of Aleppo where the displaced people of Afrin reside.  

Mustafa said that the new infections are 115 males and 75 females.  

In the Jazira region, the recorded infections are 25 in Hasak, 14 in Derik, 17 in Qamishli, 8 in Amuda, 7 in Girke Lege, 2 in Tel Tamr, 1 in Jil Agha, and 1 in Derbasiyah.

In the Euphrates region, there were 25 in Kobani, 40 in Tabqa, 22 in Raqqa, and 18 in Manbij.

There were also 4 cases in the northern countryside of Aleppo and 5 in Deir ez-Zor.

The recovery of 17 cases were also recorded, according to Mustafa.

The AANES Health Board announced the recording of 88 new coronavirus infections and 4 deaths in its areas on Thursday.

According to the new the statistics on new cases of coronavirus in the AANES regions, the number of infections has risen to 6,119, of which 158 died and 869 recovered.
