237 new infections, three deaths from coronavirus in Syria’s Autonomous Administration

RAQQA, Syria (North Press) – The Health Board of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) announced the recording of 237 new coronavirus infections and three deaths in its areas on Saturday.  

The AANES’ official Facebook account quoted Jiwan Mustafa, co-chair of the AANES Health Board, who stated that the new recorded infections were 124 males and 113 females.

In the Jazira region, the recorded infections were 38 in Qamishli, 36 in Derik, 29 in Hasakah, five in Amuda, one in Tel Tamr, and one in Tirbespi.

In the Euphrates region, there were 42 recorded cases in Raqqa, 33 in Tabqa, 21 in Kobani, and 19 in Manbij.

There were also 11 cases in Deir ez-Zor, and one in the northern countryside of Aleppo, where those displaced from Afrin by the Turkish invasion in 2018 reside.

The recovery of 27 cases were also recorded, according to Mustafa.

According to the new the statistics on new cases of coronavirus in the Autonomous Administration regions, the number of infections has risen to 5,484, including 138 dead and 798 recovered.
