Three children killed in explosion in northwest Syria’s Idlib

IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – An unknown explosion, likely remnants from military operations, occured in the northwestern countryside of the Turkish-held city of Idlib on Thursday.

“An unknown object exploded when some children were playing with it, killing three children,” journalist Ammar al-Aswad told North Press.

According to al-Aswad, the explosion killed three children and seriously injured others.

The Turkish-held city of Idlib and its countryside are subjected to explosions of the remnants of war, often resulting in casualties. On August 14, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) stated that a cluster bomb exploded in the fields east of the town of Binish in Idlib countryside, seriously injuring two children.
