Amid intense air strikes, the Syrian Government Forces gain more territories inside Idlib Governorate.

Syrian government forces were able to advance in new areas within the administrative borders of Idlib governorate, following their control over the first village inside the province during the recent escalation.

North Press observed the combat operations between the opposition armed militias and the Syrian government forces, where the latter succeeded in advancing again inside the countryside of Idlib and take control of the areas of Qiratah, Hardaneh and Al-Humayrat southern Idlib.

During the early hours on Tuesday, the Syrian air forces targeted Ma`arat al-Nu`man, Karsaa, Faqie, Deir Sunbul, Al Naqeer, Sheikh Mustafa, Khan Shaykhun, Ehsim and Arihah in the southern countryside of Idlib.

Similar shelling targeted areas of Koura and Sahab villages in the northwestern of Hama, while the shelling took a toll of death of a child and wounding of others in Deir Sunbul, south of Idlib.

The shelling resulted in a renewed displacement in villages in the midst of military operations and mounting shelling, to raise the number of displaced persons in northwestern Syria, let alone the devastation left in the infrastructure of the countryside of both Idlib and Hama.

The Response Team Coordinators (a Syrian relief team) provided North Press 24 hours ago with a statistics about the rising number of displaced persons since the beginning of February 2019 that reached 471413, displaced from Idlib, Hama, Aleppo and the rest of de-escalation zones.

 “The tragedy worsened with the escalation of the military operations on 29 April which caused the displacement of about 73 thousand families, while the number of victims has increased to 659 civilians,” As “Response Team coordinators” manager Muhammad Hallaj confirmed to North-Press.
