Idlib governorate and its surroundings in northwestern Syria witness the return of air and land bombardment operations after uneasy calm prevailed since Saturday night.
As the Syrian Air Force hit today’s morning the areas of Khan Shaykhun, Midaya, Rakaya, Taftanaz, Arihah, Jabal al-Arbaeen, Ihsim, Sarjah, Kafr Sijnah and Balshoon in the southern countryside of Idlib.
In addition, the town of Kafr-Halab in the western countryside of Aleppo city was subjected to aerial bombardment, causing injuries, material damage and destruction of infrastructure, coinciding with artillery shelling hit the town of Bidama, west of Jisr al-Shughur.
Meanwhile, the armed opposition groups targeted, on Thursday morning, the Syrian government locations in the villages and towns of Jamlah, Shaykh Hadid, Kernaz, Kafrhood and al-Jadeidah in the northern countryside of Hama, as well as the areas of Muhradah and al-Aziziyeh, northwest of the Hama governorate.
The armed opposition groups also targeted last night the town of Zahraa, located within Syrian government control, in the northern countryside of Aleppo with rockets and artillery shells.
While the Turkish Ministry of National Defense clarified in a statement issued on Saturday, that one of its observation posts was targeted by three-shots “Fired from the de-escalation zones within the territory of the Syrian government’s control in Idlib”, noting that the attack did not result in any casualties among the Turkish forces stationed in the region.
Earlier on Friday, the Turkish Ministry announced in a statement that the fire support units in the area had effectively shelled a Syrian government forces’ location that had previously attacked the tenth Turkish observation post in Shir-Maghar, northwestern Hama governorate.
