The Security Forces said on their official website that they have arrested ISIS terrorist in the village of Jeb Abyad in al-Hayea district of Manbij, after getting information and follow-up by the General Security Service.
The Security Forces said that the arrested memeber was “planning to carry out terrorist attacks,” where all the weapons and materials he possessed were confiscated, noting that the rest of the cell’s members were also arrested earlier during a raid operation.
It’s noteworthy that the Internal Security Forces in north and eastern Syria had already arrested some members of Islamic State sleeper cells on the 17th of this month, and seized a factory of explosives in al-Basira of Deir ez-Zor eastern countryside.
Internal Security Forces (Asayish) along with Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) conduct raids and arrests campaigns in different areas of northeastern Syria, in search of ISIS sleeper cells, while the area is witnessing terrorist attacks of car and motorcycle bombs, most of which are conducted by ISIS.
