We arrested a cell recruiting for foreign parties – Asayish

The Internal Security Forces (Asayish) of North and East Syria announced on Monday that they had arrested a cell operating within the institutions of the Autonomous Administration, which was recruiting for the benefit of unnamed external parties.

 

In a statement published on its official page on Facebook, the Asayish said that "The cell was entrusted with the task of spying and following the movements of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), and transferring information about the work of the security services."

 

Asayish added, "The cell was preparing to carry out assassinations of administrative leaders and disruption of social and political activities, and to provoke national, religious, and sectarian strife among the components of the region."

 

Asayish pointed out in the statement that the cell was composed of five people, including two women, who were assigned and recruited from external sources.
