The Combined Joint Task Force – Operation Inherent Resolve published photos of the Internal Security Forces in the city of Hasakah in northeastern Syria, while guarding detention centers with equipment and helmets to deal with the riots.
CJTF-OIR said: "The focus was to address the needs of northeast Syria’s infrastructure during the COVID-19 pandemic."
Last March, the al-Sina'a Prison in the Gheweran neighborhood in the Hasakah city witnessed riots by ISIS detainees inside the prison, which resulted in them sabotaging the internal gates of cells, breaking the walls between prison dormitories and taking control of some parts of ground floor of the prison.
The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) later announced their full control of the riots inside the security facility.
