Yesterday, Saturday, at the Khmeimim Air Base in northwestern Syria’s Latakia countryside, head of the Russian Reconciliation Center Oleg Zhuravlyov said that the ceasefire agreement in the de-escalation zones is steadfast, and joint patrols between Russia and Turkey in northeastern Syria are continuing.

Counter Admiral Oleg Zhuravlyov explained that Russia and Turkey carried out new ground and aerial patrols in northeastern Syria in accordance with the memorandum of understanding signed between the two sides on 22 October 2019 to stop hostilities in the region in light of the Turkish military operation in northeastern Syria.

Zhuravlyov added that the ceasefire agreement, which entered into force in the Idlib region to reduce the escalations in northwestern Syria on March 6th, was still standing.

The Russian Admiral said: "There have been no recorded bombings launched by illegal Turkish-backed armed formations in the area in the past 24 hours."

But he also mentioned that they monitored a single bombardment which targeted the town of Malajah in the Idlib province by Jabhat al-Nusra.
