Turkish forces shell Afrin and Tal Rifaat villages in northern Aleppo countryside

On Sunday morning, Turkish forces repeatedly targeted villages in Afrin and Tal Rifaat in the northern countryside of Aleppo with heavy weapons, causing material damage.
A North-Press correspondent reported that Turkish forces bombed the villages of Abyan, Deir Jamal, and Soghana in the Shirawa district in the southeast of Afrin region. It also shelled the villages of al-Malikiyah, Shawarga, and Maraanaz in the Sharran district, east of Afrin, with heavy weapons this morning.
The shelling targeted the villages of Sheikh Issa and Kashtaar in the city of Tal Rifaat in the northern countryside of Aleppo, causing material damage.
The shelling is still ongoing in the villages of Afrin and Tal Rifaat.
On April 10th, Turkish forces and their affiliated armed opposition groups targeted the villages of Soghana and Aqiba in the Shirawa district with more than nine artillery shells, wounding a civilian from the village of Aqiba.
The villages of the Afrin region, which have remained outside of the control of Turkish forces since March 2018, have witnessed repeated attacks with heavy weapons, causing material damage to property and human casualties among IDPs and local residents.
