Israeli warplanes target military warehouses in al-Safira area in Aleppo countryside

On Monday, Israeli aircraft targeted military warehouses in the al-Safira area in the southeastern Aleppo countryside.
The Syrian government’s official news agency SANA reported that Israeli warplanes coming from the northeast of Athreya targeted military warehouses in the al-Safira area with missiles, adding that Syrian air defense responded to the Israeli missiles.
SANA added that the losses caused by the Israeli strikes are being examined, without mentioning any further information.
On May 1st, Israeli aircraft targeted Iranian and Syrian government forces’ sites in the countryside of Daraa and Quneitra governorates in southern Syria.
Israeli helicopters from the Golan Heights bombed several sites in the south of Syria with missiles, and the damage was limited to material.
News was conflicting about the causes of the explosion that occurred last Friday in the town of Nubl in northern Aleppo countryside, killing four people including women and children, wounding more than 10 others, and destroying a number of houses in the town.
A Syrian government weapons depot east of Homs exploded earlier on Friday, wounding 10 civilians and causing material damage in the surrounding area, while government sources did not reveal who was behind the explosion.
On April 27th, Israeli shelling killed three people and injured four others as a result of shrapnel falling on the homes of residents in the towns of al-Hujaira and al-Adliya in the southern of Damascus countryside.
In late April, the Israeli Defense Ministry revealed that it was seeking to force Iran out of Syria militarily before the end of 2020 by intensifying shelling on Iranian forces and its affiliated militia’s sites.
