On Monday, the body of a former armed opposition group militant was found shot dead on the Shiah road in the city of Daraa, two days after the killing of a former Syrian government soldier.
The ex-opposition militant had made a deal with the Syrian government and joined the military security apparatus, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.
On May 6th, unidentified gunmen killed a former member of the Syrian government forces between the towns of Jibeb and Um Walad in the Daraa countryside.
This comes days after unknown assailants attacked the Directorate of Al-Mazyreeb District in the western countryside of Daraa, after which they managed to kidnap nine members of the government police forces whom they later shot dead, eventually throwing their bodies into the Ghobsha roundabout in the town.
The Daraa governorate is witnessing continued security tension and assassinations carried out by unidentified individuals and officers of the Syrian government forces, in addition to civilians and reconciliation members.
