Turkish forces began construction of a new military post in Idlib, amid shelling by opposition groups of a village of the northern countryside of Aleppo.

After midnight Wednesday – Thursday, Turkish forces deployed in the de-escalation zones created a new military post on the Nabi Younis Hill in al-Zawiya mountain.

Turkish forces established a new military post in the area of Bsanqul, southwest of Idlib, near the Aleppo-Latakia highway, known as M4.

The number of Turkish military points in the region rose to 38 in the de-escalation zones amid continuing Turkish military reinforcements during the recent period.

On Wednesday, armed opposition groups bombed the village of Maraanaz, an administrative branch of the city of Azaz in the northern countryside of Aleppo, which is under the control of Syrian government forces, causing material damage to the property of the residents.

On Sunday, Syrian government forces intensified their bombing of areas in al-Zawiya mountain, in conjunction with clashes with armed opposition groups and the Turkistan Islamic Party in al-Ghab Plain in Hama's countryside.

The area is witnessing confrontations between armed opposition groups and Syrian government forces in the de-escalation zone, the latest of which was the evacuation of the armed opposition groups last Sunday from sites of the Syrian government forces in the northern countryside of Hama, hours after they took them over.
