On Friday, a 9-year-old boy sustained foot wounds due to a motorcycle bomb in al-Shaddadi, in the southern Hasakah countryside.

A North Press correspondent in al-Shaddadi reported that the explosion occurred at exactly 12:30 p.m. in front of the shops in the main street in the middle of the town, and the child, Hassan al-Farjali, was taken to the hospital for treatment.

The explosion resulted in material damage to the shops near the site of the incident, and the Internal Security Forces imposed a security cordon around the site of the explosion.

ISIS cells are still active in several areas in northeastern Syria, especially after the Turkish invasion of North and East Syria in October of last year.

The Syrian Democratic Forces, with the support of Global Coalition forces, are intensifying their operations against the leaders and members of ISIS cells spread across wide networks in the region.
