Military source: Turkish forces target a weapons depot in Aleppo countryside
North-Press Agency
A military source from the Syrian government forces reported Saturday that the Turkish forces targeted a weapons depot in Aleppo countryside after midnight on Friday.
The military source told North-Press: "Turkish forces targeted a weapons depot in the village of Kafr Dael in the western Aleppo countryside, probably belonging to Iranian forces present in the area, causing physical damage to the warehouse building.”
The Syrian official news agency SANA reported that an explosion was heard in the city of Aleppo, without any information about the cause or location of the explosion.
Earlier this month, a massive explosion occurred in the town of Nubl in the northern Aleppo countryside, killing four people, including children, wounding more than 10 others, and destroying a number of houses in the town.
Local sources in the town said at the time that an explosion at a gas canister warehouse in the town killed and wounded civilians and damaged surrounding houses.
It was not clear whether the incident was caused by a canister explosion in a gas warehouse, or if the town, where pro-Iranian forces are present, was deliberately targeted.
