Plane transporting 200 Syrians stuck in Moscow arrives in Damascus

On Monday, a plane holding more than 200 Syrians stuck in the Russian capital Moscow arrived at Damascus International Airport.
The official Syrian government news agency SANA stated that a SyrianAir plane coming from Vnukovo International Airport transported 245 Syrians stuck in Moscow.
Passengers were transported and sent to a 14-day quarantine to ensure that they are not infected with coronavirus.
This is the fourth plane to transport Syrians wishing to return to their country since most of the world began to impose precautionary measures to confront the spread of coronavirus.
Last Saturday, two planes arrived from Sudan and Oman to Damascus International Airport, transporting 393 Syrian passengers.
On the 4th of May, a plane arrived from Sharjah Airport in the United Arab Emirates to Damascus, holding 251 Syrians who were stuck abroad.
On Saturday, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants Ayman Siwas told the media: “European Union countries did not grant the Syrian planes permission to land at their airports to return Syrians stuck abroad who wished to return.”
