A Kurdish educational institute announced on Saturday the graduation of four groups of its participants, at the (Royal Hall) in the city of Qamishli, north-east of Syria, in the presence of education officials in the Democratic Self-Administration.
The graduation ceremony, organized by ( Vian Amara Institute) for Educational Sciences of Kurdish Language, included a speech by Samira Haj Ali, Co-Chair of the Education Authority in the Self-Administration.
Farhad Musa, a member of the institute’s directorate, said to North Press that they opened the institute in 2015, prepared teachers and graduated four groups, totaling 900 teachers.
He added that graduation certificates were distributed only at a graduation ceremony for the four groups together, without explaining the reason behind the delay of graduating the previous groups.
Graduates of the Institute received certificates that documented their studies at the Institute, and, thus, enable them to be teachers in the Kurdish Self- Administration schools in various educational materials.
Schools ,in areas under their control, have been obliged to use Kurdish curricula, since 2016-2015.
The Self-Administration has opened dozens of educational institutions to graduate Kurdish teachers of various educational materials.
The institutes are working on developing teachers skills, who teaches in Kurdish schools, such as (Vian Amara) Institute, which was founded in July 2015.
