Yazidis under fears of returning back home, in anticipation of being killed by Turkey’s armed groups.

The displaced people from the areas of Sere-Kaniye (Ras al-Ain) and Tal Abyad (Gire Spi) are afraid to return back to their homes and properties after the Turkish military and its affiliated armed opposition groups have taken control over those areas in northeastern Syria, where the Yazidis and Christians are increasingly concerned.
The Yazidis are more afraid to return to their seized areas, according to the armed forces groups, the Yazidis are considered as infidels and are doomed to be killed.
Ziad Abdal, the co-chairman of the Yazidi House in al-Jazira region told North-Press that the Turkish military and its affiliated armed groups, when they attacked Afrin in January 2018, they targeted the Yazidi cemeteries being as a holy places. Abdal said the Turkish-backed armed opposition groups have forced the Yazidi people in Afrin who remained in the region to convert into Islam, in addition to kidnappings and inhuman acts against them, he said.
Abdal asserted that the armed groups are committing violations in the areas of Ras al-Ain, he said: "They are enemies of humanity; they are descendants of the Ottomans".
The Yazidis in Ras al-Ain lost about 12 villages and more than 150 families (about 1,000 people), were forced to flee their villages because of the pursuit of the Turkish-backed armed opposition groups, according to the co-chairman of the Yazidi house in al-Jazira region.
Adel Ayo Sheikho, a displaced person from Ras al-Ain said that they cannot return to their homes for fears of being killed by Turkish-backed armed groups. "We, the Yazidis in particular cannot return, because they consider us infidels and we will be beheaded if we return," he said. Sheikho noted that the Yazidis were violated in Sinjar (Shingal), Afrin and now in Ras al-Ain (Sere-Kaniye).
Wansa Um Lawrence from the village of Qazlan, west of Amude wondered: "What is the fault of the Yazidis to be killed and annihilated?" Adding: "People are being killed in Ras al-Ain, Ein Issa, Afrin and Kobani. What do they want from us? What have we done in order to kill us?!”
"The whole world has witnessed the massacres they are carrying out against the Kurds, but the world does not move a finger,” she added.
