“They Mutilated the Body of My Daughter” The Mother of an Assassinated Kurdish leader speaks out about Turkey backed militias war crimes
They mutilated my daughter’s body” The mother of A senior Kurdish politician in northeastern Syria who was killed by Turkey backed militias told “North Press”.
The brutal killing of Havrin Khalaf, 35 years old was the first sign of the bloody genocidal campaign waged by Turkey in North East Syria.
On Saturday, Khalaf’s car was hit by Turkish forces. The Syrian Democratic Council (SDC), the political wing of the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in northeast Syria, announced that a group called “Ahrar al-Sharqieah” backed by Turkey executed Khalaf and her driver on M4 highway in NE Syria.
In a video published by the group that executed Khalaf, Turkey backed militant telling other fighters “Film me .. Filme me” as he shoot Khalaf’s captured driver with more than 20 bullets.
Mustafa Bali, SDF spokesperson said that many civilians were kidnapped on the same highway on Saturday by TFSA.
After the funeral of Havrin Khalaf, her mother Souad Mohammed told “North Press”, “They called me when they captured my daughter, they were shouting in Arabic and they didn’t answer me, I said to myself that Havrin must be in the hands of the enemy now … I don’t even know who the enemy is.” Added “my daughter was a civilian, she’ never been a combatant, she was a political advocate, it’s a human right guaranteed for each man and woman”
Khalaf’s mother describes her daughters mutilated and dismembered body “They were able to kill her with a bullet or two, but they chose to keep nothing from her body, her body was like a cotton ball wrapped with a piece of cloth”
The Mother said “I moved a cloth that covered her chest and face and found nothing left from her body but a small piece from her jaw”
On Sunday morning, US State Department spokesman told Reuters, “The United States has seen reports of the killing of the Kurdish politician Havrin Khalaf” expressing grave concern of the reports.
Suad Mohammed, Havrin mother stressed. “If this world believe in basic human rights, they should help me to bring those who killed my daughter, a part in front of body to justice and I will not give up on asking about her rights until the rest of my life”
