The Dutch minister of foreign affairs has sent a letter to The Autonomous Administration of North and Eastern Syria, confirming his support for the establishment of an international tribunal for members of the Islamic State group, as according to Amal Dada, the co-chair of the Department of External Relations of Syria’s north and eastern Autonomous Administration.

Amal Dada said in a statement to North-Press that the Autonomous Administration has exchanged views with several European delegations on the issue of trying ISIS members in north and eastern Syria, adding that “The Dutch Foreign Minister pledged in a letter which was sent to us that he will provide support in the establishment of an International Tribunal for ISIS-detainees in our region”.

She added that there are a diplomatic recovery and an international openness for the Autonomous Administration’s held areas in north and east of Syria, to see the status, the working mechanism and its structural and institutional work, revealing that there’re promises to support the administration in terms of service, relief, and reconstruction, especially by the Swedish delegation that has visited the region recently.

On the other hand, Ms. Dada pointed out that all of the components of north and eastern Syria are entitled to participate in the political process, by saying “We are open to dialogue, there are mutual visits with many countries, and we have delegations abroad concerning our participation in the political process and the safe area”.

Several Western and Arab delegations have recently visited the north and eastern Syria, where they held several meetings with the north-eastern Syria autonomous administration’s officials.
